ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Holly O'Brien, an Animator and Illustrator based in Melbourne Australia. I have been drawing all of my life and have always been fascinated by the wonderful world of animation. I particularly like exploring genres of science fiction and adventure through the pieces I create, with an aim to tell engaging stories along with captivating visuals.
PAST PROJECTS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
EDUCATION - RMIT UNIVERSITY 2022-2024
In 2024 I graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media)
BLOODORN - Rise Up Again (2024)
In 2024 I was a lead animator for an animated music video in partnership with Reaper Entertainment, for a band called BLOODORN. This was a class group assignment intended to give us experience collaborating in a studio environment.

TOP ARTS (2022)
After graduating from high school in 2021, I was selected as an exhibitor for Top Arts 2022 at the NGV Ian Potter Gallery. I created a series of 2 paintings with acrylics exploring themes of portraiture and identity.

TOP DESIGNS (2022)
Alongside Top Arts, I was also selected as an exhibitor for Top Designs 2022 at Melbourne Museum. I wrote a 24-page long graphic novel called "Outsiders" which was my final assignment for VCE 3/4 Media.

ME AND UOOUOO (2020)
In 2020 I was selected as an artist for a public art trail to celebrate 150 years of the Royal Children's Hospital. the sculpture was named "Hope" and was painted using acrylics. my sculpture was Exhibited outside Melbourne university, along with 99 sculptures by other artists scattered around iconic Melbourne spots.
